Exciting times readers. We thought you might be interested in some news straight off the presses. The inaugural Irish Blog Awards 2012 has just opened for nominations. This is a fantastic opportunity for the bloggers and the online community to get together and help spread the word about each others business. Entrants have from the 1st of June until the 16th of July 2012, with the nomination list being announced on the 4th of August next. The founders of the Irish Blog Awards are of very high calibre and include Amanda Webb of www.spiderworking.com, Beatrice Whelan of Sage and Lorna Sixsmith of www.garrendennylaneinteriors.com so with such talented social media gurus in charge, the competition will be stiff.
The awards are for a blog post as opposed to a blog so remember to place the vote button (as seen at the top of this post) opposite the post that you wish to nominate. There are a total of 30 categories in which you can enter your blog post, including best blog of an SME business, Best Designed Blog, Best Personal Blog, Best Arts and Culture Blog etc. Following that it gets even more exciting as there is then an opportunity for the public to vote on the best blog overall. This competition opens on the 4th of August next. If you’d like to enter the competition simply click on the link above and fill in the online form. Entry is free and you can enter as many categories as you like.
The competition culminates with an awards night which takes place in the beautiful Osprey Hotel in Naas, Co. Kildare on Saturday 13th October. Further details can be found at www.blogawardsireland.com/faq.
